About the role

The Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) team at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator I to support the successful delivery of design and construction projects. Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination, Planning & Reporting
  • Coordinates assignment and tracking of design and construction projects in partnership with PDC leadership to ensure timely and organized delivery.
  • Manages full life cycle project coordination, including initiation, workflow progression, and final close-out activities.
  • Oversees project close-out process, ensuring all required documentation, financials, and cost records are complete, accurate, and properly archived or transferred.
  • Researches, analyzes, and prepares reports, plans, and documentation to support planning efforts, capital projects, and institutional requirements.
  • Tracks and coordinates smaller projects impacting space or infrastructure records, serving as a liaison across departments and maintaining accurate campus data systems.
  • Systems Administration & Operational Support
  • Maintains and administers project management systems, ensuring data integrity, user access, and accurate project tracking information.
  • Provides operational support to project managers and stakeholders by troubleshooting processes, facilitating workflow overrides, and improving forms and procedures.
  • Records & Document Management
  • Coordinates and processes internal and external document requests, including maintaining compliance with non-disclosure agreements and records protocols.
  • Administers departmental records management, including digital archiving, retention, retrieval, and authorized destruction of files.
  • Communicates and collaborates with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to obtain required documentation and ensure compliance with project standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6) .
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting design, construction, facilities, or capital project environments.
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle processes, including initiation, coordination, and close-out.
  • Proficiency in project management systems or databases (e.g., Procore, e-Builder, or similar platforms).
  • Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders, including project managers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports, documentation, or presentations.
  • Strong organizational and records management skills, including document control and archiving practices.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements related to contracts, records retention, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Experience analyzing data, researching information, and supporting process improvements or workflow efficiencies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to address design or implementation deficiencies.

  • The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,722 - $65,165. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
  • Position requires a valid Class E driver's license. The position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
