VB.NET/MS-SQL(T-SQL) Developer

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in software development using VB.NET.
• Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development.
• Query optimization and performance tuning
• Experience in debugging and enhancing existing legacy applications.
• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on experience in:
• Stored Procedures
• Functions
• Views
• Triggers
• Preferred Skills:
• Experience with ASP.NET (VB.NET) applications.
• Familiarity with .NET Framework 4.5/4.6 or above.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience in the Banking, Finance, or Insurance domain.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Job Description: Design, develop, maintain, and enhance applications using VB.NET. Develop, modify, and optimize MS SQL Server databases, queries, and T-SQL stored procedures. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Troubleshoot application and database issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes. Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. Optimize application and database performance. Support system integration, testing, deployment, and production activities. Maintain technical documentation and system specifications. Collaborate with business users, project managers, and technical teams to deliver solutions. Provide production support and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.
