Managing Consultant, Project Manager, Engineer/Geologist/Scientist

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute site investigation and remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor intrusion , including projects with moderate to complex technical and regulatory challenges
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee field programs including sampling, drilling, well installation, remediation system implementation, and O&M
• Develop and review work plans, technical reports, conceptual site models, scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates, and health & safety plans
• Interpret environmental data, conduct QA/QC evaluations, identify data gaps, and guide technical decision‑making
• Evaluate remedial alternatives and support clients in developing and negotiating cost‑effective closure strategies with regulatory agencies
• Delegate work effectively, mentor junior staff, and engage ERM subject‑matter experts to deliver maximum client value
• Prepare proposals and actively participate in business development and client relationship management
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with ERM colleagues, clients, regulators, and subcontractors

Requirements

• Required
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology , or a closely related discipline
• 4+ years of experience (5-8 years preferred) with progressive responsibility on environmental site investigation and remediation projects
• Demonstrated experience working under CERCLA, RCRA, and state regulatory programs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce high‑quality technical reports (writing sample may be requested)
• Environmental field experience including soil, groundwater, and vapor investigations
• 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
• Strong commitment to health, safety, and risk management
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites
• Preferred
• Master's degree in Engineering, Geology, or related field
• Professional licensure ( PE or PG ) or ability to obtain licensure in the near future
• Experience with vapor intrusion assessment and mitigation , LNAPL/DNAPL investigations, and high‑resolution site characterization tools
• Familiarity with EQuIS or other environmental data management platforms
