As an Enrollment Specialist, you'll help families feel welcomed, informed, and supported as they access Department of Education, Head Start, and Early Head Start services. You'll guide families through outreach, eligibility, intake, and enrollment by conducting interviews, verifying documentation, and keeping records accurate and audit-ready. You'll manage waiting lists and caseloads, monitor attendance, and follow up quickly when children are absent, partnering with families and community resources to support consistent participation. You'll also maintain timely, accurate data in ChildPlus, protect confidentiality, and follow required program standards, policies, and trainings. Starting Pay Rate: $20 - 24/hr OVERVIEW OF POSITION: Under close supervision, assist in facilitating staff, family, community and parent activities. Assist in the integration of all Department of Education, Head Start and Early Head Start service areas into community development. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Conducts an in-person interview with each family. Verifies age and income eligibility and family demographic information as required. Creates an eligibility determination records for each participant and ongoing records of the eligibility trainingfor staff required. Interviews the family over the telephone; verify child's age and eligibility. Implements outreach, and enrollment to ensure it is meeting the needs of eligible pregnant women,children, and children with disabilities. Oversees the eligibility criteria category of each child on the waiting list and maintains the waiting list. Maintains assigned caseload funded enrollment level and fills any vacancy within 30 days. Tracks attendance for each child assigned to caseload. Contacts family when a child, assigned to caseload, does not arrive at school within one hour of program starttime. Conducts home visits or makes other direct contact with a child's parents if a child has multiple unexplainedabsences (such as two consecutive unexplained absences); Use individual child attendance data to identifychildren with patterns of absence that put them at risk of missing ten percent of program days per year. If achild ceases to attend, the must make appropriate efforts to reengage the family to resume attendance. Maintains an eligibility determination record for all enrolled, previously enrolled and prioritization listed (waitlist applicants. Ensure eligibility determination records are accurate and accessible for both processing andannual audits. Forms and maintains working relationships with outside agencies to facilitate both recruitment and servicesto enrolled and prioritization listed (wait list) families. Attends meetings and professional development and training as required or prescribed. Enters and ensure validity of data in Child Plus. EDUCATION: High School Diploma, GED or national equivalent. Possession of pediatric (infant/toddler) CPR and first aid certificate. Must possess or obtain credential/certification in Social Work, Sociology, Human Services, Family Services, Counseling, within 18 months of hire.
