Responsibilities
- Additionally, you will participate in the monthly business review process, annual planning and forecasting cycles, and periodic projections throughout the year. You will work closely with corporate partners to advance key elements of Canadian Tire's True North Strategy.
- Collaborate with a Senior Analyst to update and create insightful management reports to enable business decisions
- Enhance and create Excel financial models aimed to simplify business processes
- Support financial services business cases for Canadian Tire's True North strategy.
- Create reports in Microsoft Power BI
- Develop a strong understanding of Canadian Tire Financial Services' strategy and financial results
- Support internal clients with ad hoc analysis requests
- What You Bring:
- Currently pursuing a university degree or college diploma in Finance/Accounting, Economics, Math, or another related discipline.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate across various levels within the organization.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or the ability to learn these tools on the job).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is considered an asset but is not required; online training is provided.
- Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently (including 4 days per week in the office and 1 day per week virtually)
- Outcome-focused critical thinkers with the ability to analyze financial results and draw meaningful insights from financial information.
- Collaborative team players who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups.
- Equipped with strong technical skills, capable of conducting simple to moderately difficult financial analyses, and adept at learning new financial software and systems with ease.
