About the role
This service is expanding its Children and Young People (CYP) Talking Therapies service, delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health support to children, young people and families across the UK. The service is open 7 days per week and operates 8am-10pm. As a CBT Therapist, you will provide structured Cognitive Behavioural Therapy interventions to children and young people experiencing common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support positive clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based CBT interventions to children and young people
- Carry out comprehensive clinical assessments, formulation, and risk management
- Provide therapeutic interventions via remote and/or face-to-face sessions
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including CWPs, Psychologists, and Family Therapist's
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in line with service requirements
- Adhere to safeguarding, confidentiality and clinical governance frameworks
- Engage in regular clinical supervision and ongoing CPD
- Essential Requirements (Strict Criteria)
- Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- BABCP Accredited or Registered CBT Therapist
- Completed CYP IAPT Pathway training (High Intensity CBT for Children & Young People)
- Demonstrable experience delivering CBT interventions to children and young people
- Strong understanding of risk assessment, safeguarding and clinical governance
- Applications that do not meet the above criteria (BABCP + CYP IAPT Pathway) will not be considered.
- Desirable Experience
- Experience working within CAMHS, NHS, or equivalent services
- Experience delivering remote therapy
- Experience working with neurodiverse populations or complex presentations
