Interim Chief Financial Officer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting leadership experience, including CFO, Controller, or senior finance executive roles.
• Experience within nonprofit organizations strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing large-scale capital projects, construction accounting, or real estate development finances.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost forecasting, cash flow management, and contract financial administration.
• Experience presenting financial information to Boards of Directors and executive leadership teams.
• Proven ability to manage external auditors, accounting firms, lenders, donors, and other key stakeholders.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.

Our nonprofit client is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as the organization's senior financial leader during a critical phase of a large-scale capital construction project. This highly visible role will partner closely with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to provide strategic financial oversight, construction project financial management, cash flow planning, and organizational financial stewardship through project completion. The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of nonprofit finance leadership, capital project accounting, construction financial management, and board-level reporting experience.
