About the role You will act as Research Project Coordinator to support the £4M EPSRC programme grant "Unifying Arithmetic Statistics" starting in October 2026 and lasting for 5 years. The programme grant lies in pure mathematics with Bath as the lead organisation and co-leads in Kings College London, Cambridge, and Glasgow. The aims are to make progress on foundational problems in number theory. Additional information about the project can be found on the preliminary webpage: https://sites.google.com/view/unifying-arithmetic-statistics/ You will support the full range of the grant's initiatives, including Finance monitoring and reporting, including processing expense claims Event organisation, including facilitating hosting visitors and workshop organisation Recruitment of postdoctoral staff and PhD students Coordinating between the partners and scientific advisory board. Reporting on the project's activities About you Proactive, independent, efficient and highly effective, the Project Coordinator will play an important role in the project's operation to help ensure a successful research programme. The appointee will be required to develop working relationships with the academic staff from across the consortium and expected to have a deep and intuitive understanding of the academic research environment. As the appointment will be made at the project's inception, it is anticipated that the role will evolve and it is essential that the appointee has a flexible, problem solving approach, using sound judgement and creativity. The ideal candidate will have experience with project management on a large scale multi-institution project, as well as familiarity with the higher education system and university research culture. They will be pro-active in their approach and have an independent working ethos. They will have a willingness to engage with the partners and drive to make the project succeed. Further information The position is at grade 6 and 0.3 FTE, though 0.2FTE is also an option depending on the other roles of the applicant.
