Entity: Customers & Products Job Family Group: Finance Group Job Description: Role Summary: Advanced Analytics Data Analyst (Grade H) As a Advanced Analytics Data Analyst, you will support the analytics and intelligence activities for the Performance Units and embedded Functions. You will apply your advanced analytical skills across the Castrol Data Domain. This is a Castrol requisition and the successful candidate will become part of the Castrol ring-fence ahead of the Castrol divestment later in 2026. From the point of the divestment, you will be employed fully by Castrol and no longer be a bp employee. The role involves working with business leads and various partners (Technology, FBT, BTC, PUs, Functions, and Markets) to assist in leading change, adoption, and sustainability of the Analytics & Intelligence Frameworks aligned with the Business Strategy and Regulatory Compliance. You will contribute to strategic transformation in integrated, scalable Business Intelligence, ensuring alignment with business leadership expectations. The role requires familiarity with agile methodology and the ability to support projects as needed. Key accountabilities for the Data Analyst role: Build, Support and Maintain ABI Tools : Build, deploy, and sustain scalable advanced analytics and AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes across the enterprise. Assist in the ongoing management and maintenance of Business Intelligence, data analytics, and science tools within the Data Management Framework. Work with business teams to help design and develop optimization algorithms. Data Analysis and Modelling : Collaborate with functional experts to translate business scenarios and optimization options into mathematical models and fluently apply . Help interpret constraints and translate modelling outcomes into insights and what-if analyses to support decision-making from high-dimensional data. Data Modelling Framework : Design and build semantic data models in support requested business insights, support the Data Modelling Framework and repository for all data areas within the Harmonized Data Lake, including PU-relevant ERPs, source systems, and the digital landscape. Assist with Data Challenges : Support the Data Architect, Operational MI Lead and Lead Data Analyst handle scalable data challenges for digital, Operational MI, and Analytics as defined by PUs, HUBs, Functions, and Markets. Apply knowledge of the Digital and Data strategic views of the Data Management Framework to ensure accuracy and balanced solutions that optimize business performance. Contribute to Change Backlog : Actively supply to the execution of the Digital, Data & Analytics Change Backlog to deliver and evidence incremental value throughout the lifecycle of the Data ecosystem. Support Projects : Serve as a support resource for assigned projects within the Castrol digital agenda, ensuring sustainability and strategic alignment throughout the roll-out and embedding phases. Data Science Toolkit : Assist in embedding the data science (ML/AI) toolkit in alignment with the business strategy and I&E framework. Data literacy Skill-Up : Support the skill-up of the business as the Data and Analytics ecosystem matures and new digital tools become available. Centralized Datalake Output : Help support the centralized datalake output for business consumption to improve value delivery and enhance the speed of insight. Education Degree-level education in an analytical field, preferably Mathematics or Engineering, or 5+ years of relevant experience.
