ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: 1. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, helping resolve issues in a professional manner, and supporting daily pharmacy operations. 2. Perform technician-level tasks including, but not limited to, data entry, prescription processing, and inventory management. 3. Participate in patient counseling activities under direct pharmacist supervision. 4. Support clinical services such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), medication synchronization, and patient outreach for services and wellness initiatives, where permitted by law and under direct pharmacist supervision. 5. Support initiatives that promote medication adherence, synchronization, text alerts, and customer wellness. 6. Process third-party claims and help resolve insurance-related issues. 7. Enter and update patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system accurately. 8. Interact with physicians and utilize reference material to gain information on customers and prescriptions and to resolve any issues that arise. 9. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. 10. Complete assigned semester-based projects in collaboration with the Pharmacy District Manager or Pharmacy Regional Manager. 11. Attend district-level meetings and shadow pharmacy leadership in day to day operations. 12. Progress through Intern Training Checklists appropriate for each professional year, including technician training, operational knowledge, patient care, and pharmacist development. 13. Travel to assigned store locations and attend scheduled events (e.g., flu clinics, DM ride-along). 14. Responsible for submitting all mileage and expenses following all company policies and procedures. 15. Actively participate in feedback and evaluation sessions and use results to build professional growth plans. 16. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and corporate policies. 17. Perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as necessary or assigned. 18. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required: Education and/or Experience Actively enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy (Professional Year 1 through 4). Must have and maintain an active Pharmacy Intern License in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy (where applicable). Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Able to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
