For more information, please visit www.fwd.com PURPOSE To work with Group Data team to support the strategic direction and execution of big data operation within an organization Major support and cooperate with Group Data team to design and deliver data solutions, enable DaaS and enhance data services/functionalities on Group Data Platform (GODP) and Data Mesh Platform To mentor, coach and review quality of work of less experienced staff KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES Support the development, implementation and provide 7x24 operations for the Group Data Platform (with Data Science and AI/ML capabilities) and its enterprise level to support business needs, ensuring that the data platform is robust, scalable, and aligned with the company's strategic goals Participate in the cloud operation of Group Data Platform to establish platform connectivity and operation in the most efficient and secure ways, as well as manage end-to-end system integrations of data from multiple data sources to create a unified data platform, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility for analytics and decision-making purposes Leverage IaC processes, expedite the provisioning and streamlining the deployment process of cloud platform services to achieve CI/CD delivery at both data platform and pipeline levels to reduce manual intervention, and ensure consistent and reliable cloud updates Follow the enterprise data platform monitoring solution to Monitor and troubleshoot data platform issues by following the enterprise data platform monitoring solution to ensure continuous operation, implement proactive measures and quick resolutions to minimize downtime and disruptions, ensure comprehensive oversight, timely detection, and resolution of issues, and continuous improvement of monitoring tools and processes Follow data platform cost optimization strategies to cContinuously optimize cloud consumption costs, work closely with finance and IT teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor cloud spending, and ensure efficient use of resources by following data platform cost optimization strategies Provide recommendations on data solutions, design & approaches in relation to daily management and operation support of the data platform and decide methodology to implement the requirement Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation in data platform operations, continuously exploring new tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance data capabilities Support on the data and data platform security which adheres to the highest security standards, including data encryption, access control, and threat detection, to meet company-wise compliance standards. Work closely with GOIT and security teams to manage risks and respond to incidents swiftly QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Bachelor in IT, Computer Science At least 3-5 years of using Cloud technologies like Azure and AWS, candidate with Azure Big Data technologies will be an added advantage Experience in all aspects of cloud computing (storage, platforms, multi-PaaS/IaaS, and data) Experience in cloud DevOps and CI/CD processes such as IaC to automate data platform deployment and optimize operational efficiency, familiar with Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Git and Azure DevOps Experience supporting big data platforms and various database technologies including but not limited to RDBMS, NoSQL, ETL and event streaming (Kafka) will be an added advantage Experience in maintaining 24X7 platform operation and supporting crises management Experience working in the insurance industry will be an added advantage Good interpersonal communication skills at all levels of business users, IT, partners, and vendors KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS Hands-on experience and knowledge on major cloud platforms and their operation, cloud operation such as Azure, AWS, GCP, or IBM. Azure is a must Experience in container-based solutions such as Azure AKS, AWS EKS and Docker Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines to deliver computing, storage, and database administration via IaC (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, Powershell, Cloudformation and etc Experience in various kinds of data repositories such as RDBMS transactional databases MSSQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB, and Big Data storages including ADLS Gen2, S3 bucket and Databricks Delta Lake will be an added advantage Experience in maintaining Confl
