Responsibilities

- Maintain and continually augment skills and competencies in leading practices in education and knowledge translation
- Develop internal/external relationships and coalitions to share resources, knowledge and expertise in educational approaches and design
- In partnership with CNSs and other partners, supports the development of educational materials for clinical team members
- Support and participate in the implementation of evidence based practice (best practice guidelines and other forms of evidence) and quality improvement initiatives with Professional Practice, units/programs and corporately
- Support staff nurses and team members to engage in meaningful learning opportunities for nursing students
- Support, mentor and coach undergraduate nursing students during their clinical practicums within the Transitional Care Program as relevant to education plans and initiatives that are being conducted
- Support the Nursing Professional council through membership and leadership on specific initiatives pertaining education and professional development
- Serve as an RNAO BPSO Champion within the Transitional Care Program
- Master's degree in Nursing or Education
- Registered Nurse with current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Additional course work, workshops and experience in principles and methodologies of adult education preferred
- Additional course work, workshops and experience in a specialty focus that supports the patient population within the Transitional Care Program preferred
