About the role

The Program Specialist (Facilities Integration) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating facility-related programs and initiatives in support of the NHGRI Intramural Research Program. This position functions as a principal advisor and liaison between NHGRI leadership, scientific programs, and service providers to ensure that facilities, space, infrastructure, and safety-related needs are effectively integrated into organizational planning and operations. You qualify at the GS-13 level, if you meet the following qualification requirement: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1.) Leading studies employing qualitative (e.g., focus groups, individual interviews, observations) and quantitative (e.g., surveys, feasibility studies) assessment methods to evaluate the effectiveness of procedures related to administrative programs or operations. 2.) Providing assistance in the development of program-level strategies addressing facilities-related requirements that impact organizational operations. AND 3.) Writing official reports to senior management on findings, recommendations, and implementation plans for improvements to administrative operations. You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
