Manufacturing Quality Control FLSmidth

Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment assembly processes meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Perform regular inspections and audits to detect and address quality issues promptly.
• Manage and conduct inspections and tests on assembled products to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and implement improvements in assembly processes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality defects.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspections, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on quality objectives.
• Communicate quality-related issues and solutions effectively to all relevant stakeholders.
• Provide training and support to assembly teams on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the assembly operations.
• Ensure that assembled products meet or exceed customer expectations for quality and reliability.
• Address and resolve customer quality concerns & customer complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Assist in evaluating and monitoring supplier quality performance, providing feedback and working with suppliers to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct internal audits to verify compliance with quality management systems and procedures, and support external audits as needed.
• Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, test procedures, and quality plans.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to ensure manufacturability and quality requirements are met.
• Champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

• Should possess good communication skills.
• Work in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, and vendors/contractor.
• Proficiency in 7 QC tools and techniques (e.g., statistical process control, root cause analysis).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Should be capable of handling measuring instruments like vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge, Hardness tester, bevel gauge.
• Should have proper knowledge of the manufacturing processes related to assembly & testing processes of new mining products.
• Strong time management skills.
• In depth knowledge of materials & aware with IS & EN standards.
• ASNT level 2 in PT, MPT, UT is desirable.
• Ability to do Internal Audits
