Your day at NTT DATA Role Overview The Malaysia Hub Lead is accountable for the end-to-end operational delivery of HR Shared Services administrative and operational services within the APAC region. This includes direct oversight of onshore / in-country HR administration teams and management of the regional delivery hub and/or Global Business Services (GBS) resources where applicable. The role acts as the single point of accountability for HR Shared Services operational excellence in the region, ensuring consistent service delivery, strong governance, cost efficiency, compliance with local requirements, and alignment with the global HR Delivery strategy. Key Accountabilities 1. Regional HR Shared Services Delivery Ownership Own the end-to-end delivery of HR administrative and operational services across the region. Ensure consistent application of the global HR Delivery operating model, adapted for local regulatory and cultural requirements. Act as the senior operational escalation point for all HR Shared Services delivery matters within APAC. 2. Onshore / In-Country HR Administration Provide functional leadership and oversight to all in-country HR Administration / Operations resources and GBS. Ensure clear role clarity, service standards, and performance management across local teams. Maintain strong partnerships with local HR leaders to balance global consistency with local accountability. 3. Regional Hub & GBS Management (Where Applicable) Build, lead, and oversee regional Malaysia delivery hubs and/or GBS resources supporting the region. Be accountable for hub performance across quality, productivity, SLAs, cost, and employee experience. Ensure effective demand planning and capacity management between onshore and hub teams, and drive the transition of work to hubs wherever possible. 4. Service Performance & Operational Excellence Own regional HR Shared Services KPIs including service quality, cycle times, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Drive continuous improvement, standardisation, and simplification of processes. Identify opportunities to transition appropriate work from onshore to hubs. Support the implementation of ONE ESC and ONE HRIS. 5. Governance, Risk & Compliance Ensure all HR Shared Services delivery activities comply with local labour laws, data privacy, and regulatory requirements. Partner with Legal, Risk, and Data Privacy teams to manage operational risk and audit readiness. 6. Stakeholder Management Act as the primary regional interface between HR Shared Services Delivery and regional HR leadership, HR Business Partners, Centres of Excellence, and Global HR Delivery leadership. 7. People Leadership Lead, develop, and engage HR Shared Services leaders and teams across the region. Build succession pipelines and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
