  • The position is required to regularly travel to other Company offices and project sites. Project sites will vary, including but not limited to commercial, manufacturing, light and heavy construction, transportation and many types of rural (forests, swamps, fields, etc.) settings.
  • Position requires offsite travel (locally and throughout United States), may include up to 30% overnight travel annually.
  • Willing to accommodate last minute travel to investigate incidents, attend important meetings, client requests, OSHA visits and other urgent matters as needed
  • This position will require you to work in a designated regional office when not in the field. Work from a remote location one day per week when work conditions allow with supervisor approval.

  • $80,000.00 - $119,000.00

As Regional Safety Manager, you will be a visible, trusted presence in the field, partnering directly with crews, supervisors, and project leaders to strengthen safe decision-making where it matters most. This role is built for a safety professional who thrives in dynamic environments, can influence through relationships and coaching, and is passionate about preventing serious incidents before they occur. From supporting high-risk work planning to reinforcing critical controls across diverse project sites, you will play a key role in shaping a proactive, learning-focused safety culture across the region. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides field coaching to supervisors/PMs on pre-task planning, hazard recognition, serious-risk decision making, and Stop Work and Start Work expectations. Supports planning and execution of high-risk work by helping teams identify critical hazards and confirm non-negotiable controls are in place before work begins. Conducts field engagements and observations focused on critical risk exposures (e.g., driving, line-of-fire, uncontrolled energy, hazardous exposures) and documents control gaps. Verifies critical controls in the field and supports corrective action follow-through; helps ensure actions are practical and effective. Supports incident investigations by coaching operational leaders, contributing subject matter expertise, and reinforcing learning application. Gathers and documents relevant information related to incidents and near misses to support the creation on systemic corrective actions. Promotes driving/vehicle risk awareness and supports implementation of vehicle safety expectations and journey planning practices. Assists with field training delivery and reinforcement of enterprise programs and tools as needed. Must be in the field interacting with employees, observing, coaching and listening to concerns frequently. Conducts audits of local offices, projects and crews as required by Lead Regional Safety Manager. Uses consistent methods and tools; report findings, supports corrective actions and follows up on improvements identified. Conducts PPE assessments and training as required. Ensures regional activity and findings are captured accurately to support KPI reporting. Complete other assignments as time allows that match capabilities and team/region needs. Operate vehicle in safe manner, obeying traffic laws and in compliance with company expectation. Present yourself professionally and appropriately for the environment. REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and employees in dynamic field environments. Solid documentation skills and ability to identify patterns and trends from field observations. Strong working knowledge of serious risk controls and common field hazards across technical services. Working knowledge of OSHA 1910 and 1926 and the ability to translate requirements into practical expectations. Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence without direct authority.
