The Communications Director, APAC serves as the strategic communications lead, and trusted advisor to APAC leaders, responsible for strengthening the company's brand, reputation and employee engagement. He (she) also partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to develop and execute integrated communications strategies that are aligned with business priorities, empower organizational transformation, advance commercial growth, and elevate patient impact. How you will make an impact: Strategic Communications & Business Partnership -Serve as a strategic communications advisor and business partner to APAC leadership, aligning communications strategies with regional business priorities and organizational objectives -Develop and execute integrated communications plans that strengthen corporate reputation, support commercial growth, and reinforce the company's vision, mission, culture, and leadership position in APAC -Partner closely with JAPAC and global communications teams to ensure alignment of messaging, campaigns, and corporate narratives -Provide communications counsel for organizational changes, business transformation initiatives, and key strategic priorities Internal/Employee Communications -Lead regional internal communications initiatives that drive employee engagement, culture, alignment, and understanding of company priorities -Develop compelling leadership communications including all-employee-meetings, leadership messages, organizational announcements, video scripts, and employee engagement campaigns -Ensure communication strategies support a connected, inclusive, and high-performing culture across diverse APAC markets External Communications & Corporate Reputation -Drive external communications strategies to strengthen corporate reputation and increase visibility among key stakeholders including customers, healthcare professionals, policy makers, media, patient communities, and industry partners -Support media engagement activities including press releases, executive interviews, thought leadership opportunities, and proactive storytelling -Partner with cross-functional teams to amplify business milestones, innovation stories, clinical evidence/achievements, and patient impact narratives -Utilize digital platforms, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve communications effectiveness and audience reach -Ensure all external communications align with industry regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and brand standards Executive Communications -Develop high-impact executive communications materials including speeches, presentations, talking points, leadership messaging, and strategic narratives -Support APAC senior leaders in building authentic leadership visibility internally and externally Patient Advocacy & Engagement -Plan and deliver APAC Patient Days and Listening Sessions, creating meaningful platforms for patients to share their experiences and perspectives with employees. -Develop and produce compelling patient journey narratives and video content that inspire colleagues and reinforce a patient-centric culture across the organization. -Partner with patient advocacy groups to strengthen engagement, empowering patients to share their voices and contribute to shaping the healthcare and policy environment. Crisis & Issue Management -Support APAC crisis communications planning and issues management in partnership with leadership, legal, regulatory, and global communications teams -Monitor emerging reputational risks and provide strategic counsel on sensitive issues and business challenges -Develop crisis communication materials, stakeholder messaging, and response strategies to protect corporate reputation AI & Communications Innovation -Champion the adoption of AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to modernize communications planning, content development, audience engagement, competitive insights, analytics, and operational efficiency What you will need (Required): -Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or a related field and 12 years' experience of previous related experience Required or -Master's Degree or equivalent in in related field and 10 years' experience of previous related experience Required -Experience working in a large manufacturing company Preferred What else we look for (Preferred): - Proven successful project management skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems - Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
