Assistant Vice President, Product Management- Index team

Responsibilities

• Identify and conceptualize new index ideas based on market trends, issuer feedback, client demand, regulatory developments, and competitive intelligence.
• Lead strategic and product development initiatives to grow the index business, including pipeline planning, cross‑functional coordination, and end‑to‑end delivery of new index launches.
• Conduct analysis and market research across index strategies, passive investment trends, asset classes and key financial markets to support product ideation and prioritisation.
• Understand client needs, current trends, and best practice in the industry to design methodology and products client will use and value.
• Assess potential partners and strategic engagements. Maintain strong relationships and serve as liaison with both internal and external stakeholders, partners and clients
• Promote any new capabilities across asset classes and new capabilities as they are developed.
• Prepare papers, proposals and presentation materials to drive internal governance support and secure approval for new index initiatives.
• Leverage strengths as a team player to collaborate across various functions including IT, Sales and Operations

Requirements

• Relevant university degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experiences in financial markets, experience from Index/ETF businesses, asset management is preferable.
• Demonstrate good understanding of the financial markets and investment strategies.
• Exposure on Hong Kong, China and APAC financial market
• Product Development and/or Project Management experience.
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset and high agility.
• Strong analytical, collaboration, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
