About the role
This position is located in the Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center (BC), Human Resources Division, Employee Operations Directorate, Employee Care Center. You must meet this requirement by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience Requirement For the GS-11 grade level: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in federal service or comparable experience not gained through federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: Providing technical guidance and instruction to assistants on the application of a variety of complex, laws, regulations, directives, procedures, and local policies relating to legal authorities for processing personnel transactions. Administering all aspects of History Correction Update Processing (HCUP) system packages for the correction and cancellation of historical personnel actions within the history database. Providing guidance with researching and validating nature of action processing codes and legal authorities for new or seldom used actions. Reviewing, coding, and updating personnel actions automated personnel data systems. Preparing a variety of recurring and non-recurring HR transactions processing reports. OR Education at the GS-11 grade level: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience as listed above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
