About the role
As a Financial Accountant (Compliance & Controls), you will help drive our goals by: Owning statutory and legal financial reporting for the site, including preparation and sign‑off of statutory accounts and financial accounting packs. Delivering accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting, working closely with Plant Management Accountants and Accounting Services to ensure data integrity. Leading monthly balance sheet and P&L reviews, ensuring compliance with IFRS, internal accounting policies and control requirements. Managing external audit and statutory close processes, acting as the primary contact for auditors and third‑party queries. Designing, implementing and monitoring plant‑level financial controls, identifying risks and driving remediation actions where required. Key skills that will help you succeed in this role: Proven experience leading financial controls, compliance and risk management activities. Ability to work collaboratively across finance and non‑finance teams. Strong technical accounting expertise, Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA or equivalent - nice to have) In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and experience applying standards within a complex or global organisation. Strong communication skills with a high level of written and spoken English. A structured, delivery‑focused approach with the confidence to manage multiple priorities under time pressure.
