Description of Work The primary purpose of this position is for architecting advanced software solutions using modern cloud based technologies and performing business and systems analysis, modeling, and programming for disparate and highly complex applications in a variety of environments. This position is expected to serve in a senior solution engineer and a lead supervisory role over other team members. This position requires an advanced level of business application knowledge, a specialized/advanced technical skill set, or extended experience in a specialized/advanced technical skill set including cloud native tools, and which can serve as a senior solution engineer and mentor in this area(s) to others. Must have the experience and ability to quickly learn new technologies especially around cloud, AI and data engineering, systems and analyze specialized applications to make appropriate business processes and technical recommendations/solutions within these systems. This position is required to understand advanced database concepts, data engineering and analytics. This position requires independent initiative and action in technical solutions, decision making, analysis, design, programming, and troubleshooting arenas. The position will be involved in application modernization using cloud native technologies including AI and data engineering and analysis. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Grade Range: $91,600.00 - $160,299.00 Recruitment Range: $125,000.00 - $130,000.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Experience architecting and implementing solutions for enterprise applications using Java/J2EE and other web technologies including using any COTS products and supporting the applications for social services programs like SNAP/FNS, Medicaid, TANF and others . Experience architecting and implementing solutions for a modern data warehouse and data analytics including dashboards using ORACE, Azure Synapse and Power BI or related technologies. Experience using Python, CoPilot and any relevant AI technology for Azure and Power BI and developing Chatbots for policy and other areas for the social services programs like SNAP/FNS, Medicaid, TANF and others.
