The Technology Services Department (TS) of the City and County of Denver use state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to deliver and improve the systems, applications, and operations to our customers. Responsibilities

  • Allocate resources within the team, ensure customer needs are met, set work streams and schedules in line with business priorities, create resource plans for the team for project work and daily task work.
  • Work to set schedules and priorities for projects, preventative maintenance, system upgrades, security, on-call and personnel scheduling. Manage technical support needs for two diverse 911 locations.
  • Provide support to the team to assist with troubleshooting and resolving routine to complex problems with servers, databases, emergency communications applications, and user hardware and software.
  • Work with vendors to resolve issues when appropriate, manage vendor relationships including contract review, SOW's and budgetary information.
  • Assist the team in the achievement of performance standards while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work directly with the TS Security team to Implement security software to protect and support 911 Operations, system data and applications; maintain security and user profiles for applications; add and remove users.
  • Work with other TS Management personnel, Facilities Management personnel and others to make sure the Facility is maintained, work to manage a resilient COOP and DR platform for 911 Operations.
  • Manage the Keep the Lights On (KTLO) process' for maintenance and support of 911 systems, platforms and applications.
  • Provide on-call/after-hours support when assigned or requested.
