Under general supervision, this individual serves as a key support member of the Breast Imaging team, assisting radiologists, technologists, nurses, and care navigators across clinical, procedural, and operational workflows. Responsibilities include supporting image-guided breast procedures, coordinating patient flow and scheduling, assisting with specimen handling and transport, supporting abnormal imaging follow-up processes, maintaining supplies and medications, and providing direct patient care and education. This role helps improve clinical efficiency and patient access by freeing technologist and nursing staff to focus on imaging and procedural care. Essential Functions : Provide direct patient support including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with positioning, monitoring, and patient comfort before, during, and after imaging or procedures. (20%) Assist with breast imaging procedures and image-guided biopsies by preparing rooms, setting up sterile trays and equipment, supporting radiologists during procedures, and providing post-procedure care. (20%) Support patient flow by transporting patients between waiting areas, procedure rooms, and recovery/holding areas; assisting with consent workflows and pre-procedure preparation. (15%) Support abnormal imaging follow-up and care coordination processes by assisting with order placement, scheduling, patient communication, and coordination with care navigators and providers. (15%) Coordinate specimen handling including placing specimen collection orders, transporting specimens to Pathology, and ensuring proper documentation. (10%) Assist with scheduling, order verification, insurance verification, and coordination of outside imaging as needed to support timely patient care. (10%) Maintain procedural readiness through inventory control, supply restocking, medication monitoring, and completion of required medication counts and documentation. (10%) Education : High School Diploma or GED Required Work Experience : 1-3 years of experience in a patient care setting, preferably within a procedural, surgical, or imaging environment. Required EMT-B or Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) Preferred Licenses : BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required EMT - CO - State of Colorado or CMA-Certified Medical Assistant - AAMA - American Association of Medical Assistants Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Willingness to learn clinical skills and knowledge relevant to interventional radiology Ability to comprehensively assess patients' physical and psychosocial status. Ability to communicate openly and empathetically with patients and their family members. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary team to provide high quality care. Basic proficiency in use of computers and software applications Shift Work Type Regular Salary $21.00 - $26.26 / hr
