About the role
As a Talent Acquisition Business Partner II, you will be a part of a fast-paced and progressive HR team for an innovative Biotechnology company. In this highly visible position, the incumbent will provide full cycle recruiting services to hiring managers including conducting strategic job launches, sourcing, screening, and developing and extending offers withing the R&D and CMC space. Partner closely with hiring leaders and client groups to develop and execute recruiting strategies aligned with business objectives. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer development, negotiation, and onboarding support. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders by providing talent market insights, candidate feedback, competitive intelligence, and hiring recommendations. Proactively identify, engage, and attract passive candidates across a broad range of functions and skill sets. Develop innovative sourcing strategies utilizing multiple channels, including direct sourcing, networking, referrals, and industry events. Collaborate with Hiring Managers, Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), and Total Rewards to create compelling job descriptions and effectively communicate the organization's value proposition. Guide hiring teams through the interview process, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with hiring best practices. Manage offer development, extend employment offers, negotiate compensation packages, and successfully close candidates. Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruiting process. Drive recruiting process improvements and contribute to talent acquisition initiatives that support organizational growth. Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, Human Resources, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 10+ years of in-house/corporate recruiting experience, including at least 5 years supporting recruiting efforts within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior-level leaders and provide strategic recruiting consultation. Strong expertise in full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition best practices. Proven success sourcing and recruiting passive candidates across a variety of functional areas. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to provide sound guidance on interview strategy, candidate assessment, and hiring decision-making. This role requires a hybrid schedule or frequent onsite travel to Redwood City, Ca. Preferred Skills: Minimum 5 years of experience recruiting within Research & Development (R&D) organizations. Demonstrated experience recruiting for Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) functions. Experience supporting scientific, technical, and operational hiring within biotechnology or pharmaceutical environments.
