Job Description: Regional Gardener Location: Field Based between Shockerwick House (BA1 7LL) and Trowbridge Oaks (BA14 6DW) Care Homes Contract: Permanent Full-Time role Hours: 40 hours per week - Mon to Fri 9.00am - 5.00pm (flexible approach required to suit position.) Salary: up to £33,000 per year dependent on experience plus Company Van *Full Driving License Required* Shockerwick House Shockerwick House is located on the outskirts of Bath's World Heritage Site. The magnificent 17th century house is set in twelve acres of wheelchair friendly gardens, with an orangery and vegetable plot. Trowbridge Oaks The landscaped gardens at this well equipped modern home are fully wheelchair accessible and can be enjoyed by all residents on sunny days. We make health happen. Here at Bupa, we support those when they need it the most. Our care homes are dedicated to delivering person-centred care, supporting independence, and honouring choice to help our residents live their best lives. You'll help us make health happen by: Ensure that the external grounds are maintained to a safe and acceptable standard, carrying out any works with the minimum disturbance to occupants and visitors. Creating/ Designing flower displays around the external grounds and displays for internal to suit each home, making them inviting, peaceful/ restful environment Maintaining all grassed areas including mowing, trimming, weed control, repairs and feeding. Ensuring all trees and shrubs are maintained, including trimming, pruning, and assessing stability. Maintaining all flower beds, boarder plants, hanging baskets and potted plants. Providing general maintenance, including sweeping, and weed removal on all paved areas, removing any litter and raking leaves. Responsible for keeping the van, tool sheds and storage areas tidy and maintaining all garden equipment and tools. During adverse weather and absences, provide support to the Maintenance division as required with decorating and basic maintenance support. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: You will hold a full driving license, have hands on experience in grounds maintenance and a passion for gardening with a minimum of 3 year's experience and/ or suitable horticultural qualifications. Experience within a large commercial estate would be beneficial, knowledge of horticulture statutory requirements and health and safety legislation. Have a friendly and approachable, have excellent customer service skills and an ability to work well as part of a large team. With a practical ability and experience in painting and decorating, you're happy to help the wider multidisciplinary teams as required.
