The Operations Coordination Manager is the Owner Advisor's senior lead for operational planning and operational readiness during design and delivery of major healthcare capital projects. This role establishes and manages the operations governance structure, drives cross-departmental coordination, and ensures clinical and support-service requirements are translated into actionable design inputs, procurement plans, transition planning, training coordination, and readiness reporting. The position aligns operational requirements with program objectives, funding constraints, schedule milestones, and long-term strategic healthcare goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead operations planning activities for healthcare capital projects, including stakeholder coordination, governance support, schedules, budgets, procurement, communications, permitting, workflows, transition planning, and reporting
  • Engage hospital operations, clinical leadership, facilities, IT, materials management, environmental services, clinical engineering, and other support departments
  • Coordinate operations-facing communications aligned with program/project communications plans and maintain mechanisms for frontline staff questions/concerns and ensure timely responses
  • Support activation and transition planning, including staff readiness, training coordination, move planning, inspections, cleaning activities, and go-live preparation
  • Track action items, risks, decisions, and issue resolutions to keep project delivery aligned with hospital operations, provide clear escalation paths and decision support

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of internal hospital operations experience required
  • Experience in hospital operations, clinical support, facilities, transition planning, activation, capital project coordination, or a related area
  • Strong understanding of hospital workflows, patient care environments, support departments, regulatory considerations, and operational readiness
  • Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with clinical, operational, facilities, and project stakeholders
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing details across multiple phases of complex healthcare projects
  • Experience supporting healthcare construction, renovation, activation, or occupancy projects
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams in an active hospital environment
  • Ability to translate operational needs into clear project plans, schedules, and follow-through actions
  • Proficiency in practice management systems, MS Excel, and EHR/EHR-related tools
  • Strong team leadership, coaching, and mentorship abilities
  • Proactive conflict resolution and adaptability under pressure
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to use data to drive decisions, forecast demand and improve patient flow

  • Compensation Range:
  • Compensation based on experience, education and skills and may vary; $140,000 -$175,000 annually
