About the position: This position is Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Resources Management Flight at Patrick Space Force Base. Who May Apply: Open to everyone. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must possess skills, and ability needed to work independently on firewalls and software on wired/wireless networks. Needs ability to troubleshoot and repair Paradyne ADSL/DSLAM modems. IAW DOD-8500.2/5200.2-R must possess or be able to obtain a Secret/SSBI clearance. Must have valid vehicle license to drive maintenance vehicles. Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical. Must be able to lift objects between 40 and 50 pounds frequently and climb stairs and ladders multiple times daily. This is a drug test designated position, incumbent is subject to random drug testing. Candidate must possess certification of Security+ and is expected to complete requirements for renewal every 3 years. Additional Network+, A+ certifications are desirable for this position.
