**THIS ROLE IN CONTINGENT/PRN/ON CALL AS NEEDED** Job Description Summary: Provides audiology care and services to patients, performing hearing evaluations and interpreting diagnostic testing, Job Description: Essential Functions: Provides evidence-based diagnostic evaluations to patients with varied medical complexity to determine type and degree of hearing sensitivity. Recommends appropriate follow-up care, including personal equipment technology, and makes appropriate referrals to ensure a comprehensive care plan. Educates parents and caregivers on the impact of hearing loss and importance of compliance with recommendations. Performs the administrative functions of individual caseload, including scheduling, entering daily charges, and submitting timely documentation. Ensures accuracy and compliance of documentation. Attends continuing education programs and participates in departmental in-service training programs to enhance professional development. Conducts audiology educational programs and supervision for hospital staff, students, licensed audiologists, audiology aides, and unlicensed personnel. Education Requirement: Doctorate of Audiology, or equivalent education and experience, required. Licensure Requirement: Valid Ohio License in Audiology, required. Certifications: Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language Hearing Association or American Board of Audiology certification from the American Academy of Audiology, preferred. CPR certification, required. Must be received no later than 60 days post hire or 60 days post expiration. Skills: (not specified) Experience: Previous pediatric audiology experience, preferred.
