WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: At nVent Management Company, you will have the outstanding opportunity to contribute to world-class financial operations in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Your role is pivotal in ensuring flawless and accurate reporting of financial transactions, adhering to our proven and detailed processes. You will: Assist in researching and analyzing general ledger account variances to help us build a comprehensive understanding of financial drivers and trends. Develop and maintain recurring journal entries, ensuring they strictly align with our established procedures. Prepare assigned month-end account reconciliations accurately and timely, providing proactive analysis and support to the finance team during monthly close and reporting cycles. Maintain Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and support internal control compliance efforts. Partner with senior team members to provide requested internal and external audit documentation is crucial. Prepare ad hoc data requests and project work to support business and reporting needs. Back up others as needed in our primary accounting center environment ensures timely and accurate completion of workloads, giving you broad exposure to multiple accounting processes. YOU HAVE: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, Accounting preferred. At least 2+ years of accounting experience preferred (open to strong early-career candidates). Experience with Epicor, or similar ERP (Oracle, JDE, SAP, etc.) operating software packages or the ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience with OneStream is a plus. Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products (Excel skills especially valued). CPA or CMA preferred but not required, or interest in pursuing professional certification. Manufacturing industry experience is a plus. Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. The ability to work and interact with various departments throughout the organization. The capability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Flexibility regarding overtime during periods of peak activity such as month-end close. Excellent teamwork, self-starting qualities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
