The ideal candidate will be well qualified and have in-depth experience to function as a WSHO for a Main Building Contractor. Job Description Implement and enforce all safety policies, procedures, and statutory requirements in accordance with the WSH Act, MOM & BCA regulations, and industry Codes of Practice Lead the development and review of Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Risk Assessments (RA), and Safe Work Method Statements Conduct regular and ad-hoc site safety inspections, audits, and walkthroughs to identify hazards and unsafe practices Stop unsafe work when necessary and advise on remedial actions and take immediate corrective actions to eliminate or mitigate hazards Report and investigate all incidents, accidents, and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive measures Maintain accurate and up-to-date WSH documentation including training records, RA registers, inspection checklists, safety reports, and incident logs Conduct site safety inductions, facilitate toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and emergency drills Conduct safety committee meetings and safety audits for management reporting and provide guidance to the members in carrying out their safety duties Liaise with authorities, external and internal stakeholders on safety matters Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the company-wide Environmental, Health and Safety Management System Involve in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and bizSAFE implementations and audits Proactively collaborate with relevant stakeholders to review and improve safety processes in line with industry best practices and promote a strong safety culture
