Field Service Engineer (Jurong Island / PERM)

About the role

Job Description Job Responsibilities Act as VEOLIA point of contact for the customer. Develop relationships with customers and manage the client portfolio. Be the leader in frontline dealings with customers on demands and deliveries. Work in close cooperation with the Singapore Service Leader, Service Center Leader, and Sales/Proposal team to deliver work orders/projects and resolve customer issues. Liaise with procurement, 3rd party vendors/contractors for quotations, site surveys, orders, deliveries, and work executions. Initiate and implement required modification and retrofit projects (Value-Added Projects). Manage a team of specialists and various subcontractors for work execution. Provide guidance to the team on technical matters, resources, skills/knowledge, and reporting to achieve service excellence. Manage and execute ad-hoc services/small projects (managerial & hands-on). Implement and promote VEOLIA EHS and Ethics policies. Manage service orders and assignments in compliance with applicable regulations and encourage good employee safety practices. Ensure permanent link with EHS leaders to improve EHS culture and comply with all company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Maintain availability on a 24-hour per day/365 day per year call basis to ensure coverage for FSR duties, EHS, and production emergencies. Job Requirements Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument or equivalent Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college with at least 2 years of experience in a field service or operation & maintenance position for Ultra-Pure Water, Waste Water & Process Treatment field. Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory. Must be proficient with Microsoft and Google Workspace applications. Diploma holders with an Electrical/Instrument background and 5 years of relevant experience may apply. Added Advantages Possess experience in managing a site team consisting of 4-6 team members. At least 3 years' experience in the operation & maintenance of water treatment systems or facility operations (RO, EDI, UF, Filters, WWTP). Experience with control systems (SCADA or HMI). Strong knowledge of water treatment systems, including UF, RO, and EDI/IX. Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to interface at all levels of the organization both internally and externally. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Proven analytical and quality improvement ability.
