The Impact You Will Make Here Build and maintain the software that powers Roca's fleet of robotic sorters Own software architecture and design complex software solutions for existing and emerging products Act as the team's Technical Lead: mentor software engineers in development best practices, evaluate engineer performance, and perform regular code reviews Instruct the team in Agile Process, and advocate for a healthy software development lifecycle Proactively lead efforts to optimize software systems and processes, improving operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement Shape Roca's technical roadmap, providing strategic input and ensuring alignment with business objectives Present to Product and senior leadership on team progress and estimated completion dates of major projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a technical-leadership role
  • Experience building applications in a modern Object-Oriented programming language
  • Expertise in SQL and REST, with the ability to guide the team in these technologies
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You'll Go Beyond If You Have
  • Expertise in Golang and/or Python
  • Experience with Linux and AWS administration and familiarity with basic networking concepts
  • Knowledge of deploying and maintaining dockerized applications in an embedded environment
  • Previous knowledge of AWS IoT and maintaining MQTT APIs
  • Previous experience with robotics, 3D printers and/or 3D printer software
  • Practical experience in the role of Scrum Master, or experience mentoring stakeholders in Agile software development

  • The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
  • $118,800 - $205,600
  • Remote roles are not eligible for U.S. visa sponsorship.
