Senior Pet Trading Manager

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end trading performance by monitoring KPIs, identifying trends and root causes, and providing clear insights and corrective actions to stakeholders.
• Drive tactical trading activity across pricing, commissions, product presentation and marketing, working cross-functionally to ensure competitive products and customer journeys.
• Manage and optimise aggregator, affiliate and partner channels, maintaining strong awareness of competitor activity, market trends and insurer changes.
• Lead the team with strong operational discipline, ensuring regulatory compliance, effective supplier management and continuous development of trading capability.
• Key Skills and Experience
• Strong analytical capability with experience monitoring and interpreting real time trading MI.
• Proven experience in a trading or commercial role, ideally within insurance and preferably with Pet Insurance knowledge.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to make fast, evidence based decisions.
• Experience leading teams or supervising others.
• Skilled in managing relationships with internal teams, external partners and suppliers.
• Highly proactive, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to identify issues, solve problems independently and deliver short term improvements.

Senior Pet Insurance Trading Manager Location: Primarily remote with occasional travel. Offices located in Portsmouth, Manchester and Peterborough. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Pet Insurance Trading Manager experienced who will be responsible for optimising the day to day and short term commercial performance of the Pet Insurance portfolio across Aggregator, Direct and Partnership channels. Operating as a subject matter expert, the role monitors real time performance, diagnoses issues, and implements trading actions that drive volume, conversion, income and profitability. The role works independently, applying professional judgment in fast changing environments to resolve complex trading challenges and maintain market competitiveness. This is a hands-on, performance driven role requiring strong analytical capability, relationship management, and an ability to influence internal and external stakeholders to improve daily KPIs
