About the role

About the position: The primary function of the position is to provide first line customer service and general office support to the Marketing & Publicity Office and Print Shop, of the 35th Force Support Squadron, Misawa AB, Japan. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in clerical, office work or accounting in which the applicant demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Must have mathematical and organizational skills. Must be familiar with personal computer applications such as Windows, MS Word, Excel, and the Internet. Knowledge of Mac OS, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired. Working knowledge of the Force Support Squadron facilities, services, programs and policies is highly desired. Must possess basic computer skills, basic word processing procedures and function keys to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as invoices, entering data into a predefined spreadsheet or database. Skill in typing; a qualified typist is required. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and the public. Conditions of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required. Must possess a valid 4EJ driver's license. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug test. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical. To perform the duties of this position a CAC is required. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
