About the role

You will serve as an Engineering Technician (Mechanical) in the Facility and Infrastructure Management Department, Facility and Plant Planning Division of FLTREADCEN EAST. GS-11: Your resume must show at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector working on industrial ventilation, compressed air and HVAC environments. Examples of specialized experience includes: 1) Utilizing Computer Aided Design equipment to prepare detailed mechanical engineering drawings; 2) Preparing technical reports and cost estimates, to assess the effectiveness of projects related to aircraft tooling, fixtures, and subsystems; 3) Analyzing unprecedented problems and investigating failures to take corrective action or recommend new design techniques; and 4) Communicating complex mechanical engineering data in an comprehensible manner in order to provide guidance, instruction, and assign all tasks associated with configuration control and depot utilities. GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector working on industrial ventilation, compressed air and HVAC environments.
