Senior Staff Validation Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 7 to 10 years of related professional experience.
• Master's degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 5-8 years of experience.
• Solid C/C++/Python SW development skills
• Proficiency in silicon validation of mixed signal/analog/digital ICs and blocks is required
• Must be adept in handling test equipment like oscilloscopes, network analyzers, etc.
• Able to work across disciplines and manage time across several demands.
• Must have good written and oral communication skills
• Solid understanding of digital and analog functional blocks with a focus on analog design. This includes blocks like amplifiers, current mirrors, comparators, etc.
• Experience in HDD, Preamp, semiconductor, components, nonvolatile memory industry is a plus

If you are ready to excel, innovate, and truly enjoy where you work, apply now for the position detailed below What You Can Expect Understand the system and block level design of the Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Preamplifier and associated blocks Develop and execute validation plan in a timely manner using standard test equipment such as Waveform Generators, Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, etc and in-house tools Work with designers to debug, understand and document any issues that may arise during validation and do a root cause analysis with help from designers and senior engineers if needed, to drive closure Learn and leverage product and system knowledge to spot potential bugs and weaknesses in design so they can be fixed ahead of tape out Provide technical documentation and relevant information to Field Application Engineers, Test Engineers, Customers, and other stakeholders as required Write, review, and maintain software used to automate bench testing. Generate professional validation reports and comparative performance analysis of the Preamp devices
