Responsibilities
- Analyze mechanical components, mechanisms, and assemblies to identify design weaknesses, quality failures, and opportunities for improvement in new product launches and in-field sustainment

- Approve first article inspections and audit fabrication processes, equipment, operators, and quality systems to ensure compliance and effectiveness

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of 4-5 years of experience designing mechanical components
- Solid working knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and material properties
- Solid understanding of aluminum, wood and plastic extrusions; familiarity with die casting, metal stamping, and machined parts
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar solid modeling CAD systems
- Strong mechanical engineering foundation, including statics, dynamics, spatial reasoning, and assembly design
- Experience conducting design reviews, tolerance analysis, FMEA, and statistical analysis (Minitab preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, and electrical schematics
- Hands-on experience with metrology tools (calipers, gauges, comparators, vision systems)
- Self-directed, analytical problem-solver able to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
- Effective communicator and collaborator capable of supporting cross-functional teams
- Availability to travel one to two times a year to the United States, VISA valid is required

Position Overview The Product Sustaining Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the lifecycle of consumer window fashion products, from prototype through launch and ongoing sustainment. This role provides hands-on mechanical engineering expertise to resolve quality issues, improve manufacturability, and ensure product robustness while collaborating cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, and product management. The position directly impacts operational KPIs and MBOs related to product quality, cost, manufacturability, and time-to-market. Location: Apodaca, Nuevo León Work Model: Onsite Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
