Finance Technical Specialist - Tax and Treasury Team Leader

Responsibilities

• You'll keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and support their implementation across the organisation, while also contributing to the development of the Group's Tax Strategy and engaging with external bodies, including the Water UK Direct Tax Group.
• You'll report to the Tax, Treasury and Insurance Manager and work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business, building strong and collaborative relationships.

Requirements

• You'll be a clear and confident communicator, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a straightforward way to non-technical stakeholders. You'll also have experience of leading or supporting others and be able to foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to plan and manage your workload effectively and meet deadlines. You'll also bring good IT skills, including Excel, and experience of working with tax or financial systems.
• It would be great if you also had
• Experience of other direct taxes or exposure to treasury activities, particularly cashflow forecasting and liquidity management, would be beneficial. Experience of Alphatax software would also be advantageous.
