About the Role UOWD invites applications for Assistant Professor position in Clinical Psychology or related areas as part of the expansion of our new Bachelor of Psychological Science . This role is balanced across teaching and research , with a full teaching load and opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, research output, and program governance. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping undergraduate psychology education at UOWD while contributing to research‑informed and industry‑engaged academic culture. Teaching Responsibilities The appointee will be expected to teach across a range of undergraduate psychology subjects, which may include: PSYC251 - Psychopathology PSYC324 - Assessment & Intervention PSYC361 - Child Development PSYC325 - History and Philosophy of Psychology PSYC326 - Design & Analysis Teaching responsibilities include: Delivery of high‑quality undergraduate teaching Supervision of undergraduate dissertations Teaching research methods and statistics Contribution to assessment, moderation, and academic quality assurance Research Expectations The successful candidate will demonstrate an active and developing research profile, evidenced by: A minimum of four peer‑reviewed journal publications within the last five years Publications indexed in Scopus and/or Web of Science Engagement with research‑informed teaching Willingness to contribute to interdisciplinary or practice‑based research initiatives Grant funding, while desirable, is not mandatory for this role.
