Software Development Engineer

About the role

Design, develop, and optimize software service s and Adobe-specific utility programs. You will participate in all aspects of software development, including design, coding, code review, unit testing, integration testing, and bug fixing. Design services that scale. Collaborate with cross -functional teams to ensure end-to-end user experience for Adobe customers. Explore new ideas and stay ahead of industry trends. Apply AI tools and t echniques to improve workflows and contri b ute to feature development with measura b le product and customer value.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and co-own features b ased on customer requirements, prioritizing performance, scal a b i l i t y , and reli a b i l i t y .
• Develop production-ready code for highly-availa b le systems, data streams, and RESTful APIs.
• Ensure high standards of quality, including ro b ust testing and o b serv a b i l i t y .
• Colla b orate effectively with technical leads, product management, and other engineers to deliver solutions that meet b usiness and customer o b jectives .
• Contri b ute to root cause analysis during incidents .
• Keep pace with relevant technologies across the Ado b e ecosystem and the b r o ad er industry .
• Take clear ownership of your work and see it through with precision.
• Engage in technical discussions a bout requirements and implementation approaches.
• What You B r ing:
• 4 + years of experience as a Software Engineer, with strong skills in Java and frameworks like Spring B oot.
• Significant experience b uilding and maintaining large-scale distri b uted systems .
• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful we b services.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with SQL (e.g., Postgre SQL ).
• Experience using AWS to run production service s.
• Experience with APM and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, Ki b ana).
• Strong pro b lem-solving skills and the a b i l i t y to model solutions for complex technical challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills .
• Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and business teams.
• Comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguous requirements.
• A strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Requirements

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), Microservice Architecture .
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript (Re act /Next.js) .
• Experience with NoSQL data b ases .
