About the role

As a distribution analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the Directors of Distribution in the day-to-day operations of our Line Hauls, routing, fleet management, backhaul and safety programs for DBM (direct by misfits). The Distribution Analyst is accountable for meeting or exceeding all operational goals through strong interpersonal communication, strategic planning, and a commitment to excellence. The ideal candidate builds strong professional relationships across departments, is an agent of change, and prioritizes the safety of both our team and our customers. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty within the distribution operation satisfactorily. Responsibilities

  • Team Support: Training, coaching, fleet maintenance, dispatch, and routing to maintain high performance and morale.
  • Operational Oversight: Managing daily line haul routing, backhaul/DBM daily route completion, Vehicle PM's,
  • Inventory Management: Overseeing Fleet rental usage and utilization accuracy
  • Logistics Coordination: Organizing, scheduling, and tracking carrier shipments, including optimizing routes and transit times.
  • Efficiency Improvement: Using data and analytics (TMS,/Jalapeno systems) to identify bottlenecks, improve productivity, and manage workflows.
  • Monitor and assess team performance against established KPIs. Implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
  • Complete all assigned trainings and inspections with your team to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain excellent record-keeping to meet all regulatory standards.
  • Optimize the allocation of resources, including workloads and equipment, to meet operational demands efficiently. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflows.
  • Lead and mentor front-line delivery staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, safety, and teamwork. Provide coaching and support to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Supports the overall distribution volume, which may include helping other drivers complete their routes or working overtime as needed.
  • Ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills for success. Identify training needs within the team and coordinate with our HR and Learning teams to implement training programs

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment
  • Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulatory requirements
  • An ability to adapt to changing priorities, delegate, and manage time efficiently
  • Experience in training others on new processes or procedural updates
  • An aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and people management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Excellent conflict-resolution and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with or certification in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, TPM or other relevant certifications
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis investigations
  • CDL Class A or B license preferred, but not required
