Responsibilities
- Conducting SMS/ISM audits , leading investigations, effectively partnering with team members, and maintaining reliable business relationships at all organizational levels, including with shore Cast and shipboard Crew.
- Developing and administering Tiered Audit Programs for DCL across multiple departments, ensuring their integration within Disney's broader audit structure.
- Collaborate with Marine and Technical Operations to review action plans addressing outstanding Condition of Class issues, audit non-conformities, observations, and Continuous Improvement Reports (CIRs), ensuring all items are resolved through leadership intervention and corrective action.
- Responsible for continuous improvement of Safety Management System content - encompassing safety, marine, and technical materials - through effective risk assessments in cooperation with Marine and Technical Operations. Comprehensive knowledge of maritime regulations must be maintained or acquired.
- Leading investigations on Disney Adventure as requested by leadership and supporting other investigations when required. This may include participation in privileged and confidential legal incident investigations and related reporting.
- Collaboration with newbuild and dry dock project teams on compliance matters is expected. The ability to handle confidential information with discretion is essential.
- Serve as the Deputy DPA for Disney Adventure and report directly to the Disney Cruise Line DPA.
- Utilize technical expertise to develop recommendations for safety improvements in collaboration with technical operations.
