Quality Technician (CMM Measurement)

Responsibilities

• Dimensional Measurement & Verification
• -
• Perform dimensional inspection using vernier calipers, micrometers,
• height gauges, CMM, FARO, Smart Scope, Keyence LMX and other metrology tools.
• -
• Measure incoming parts, FAI samples, and critical components against
• drawings and specifications.
• -
• Record, verify, and summarize measurement data with high accuracy.
• -
• Report any measurement deviations to QA Supervisor immediately.
• Measurement Equipment Handling
• -
• Define inspection methods, sampling plans, and acceptance criteria
• -
• Ensure measuring instruments are calibrated and properly maintained.
• -
• Perform basic troubleshooting and upkeep of measurement tools.
• -
• Store and handle all tools according to quality procedures.
• Documentation & Reporting
• -
• Update measurement records, inspection sheets, and reports.
• -
• Upload measurement data and inspection results into sharepoint or
• assigned systems.
• -
• Maintain clear and traceable documentation for audits.
• Continuous Improvement & Other Duties
• -
• Participate in improvements related to measurement accuracy and
• efficiency.
• -
• Support SQE during audits and supplier assessments.
• Perform
• other quality-related measurement tasks as assigned.
• Qualifications & Requirements
• Education
• NITEC
• / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Engineering, Precision Engineering, or related
• field.

Requirements

• Experience
• in dimensional measurement/metrology preferred; fresh candidates with strong
• interest may apply.
• Familiarity
• with CMM, Smart Scope, or Keyence LMX programming is an added advantage
• Technical Skills
• -
• Proficient in using vernier
• calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other metrology tools.
• Able to interpret engineering
• drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with CMM or advanced
• measurement tools is a plus.
• Strong documentation and data
• recording accuracy
• Soft Skills
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication with QA and Production team.
• Able to follow instructions and work independently.
• Organized and responsible with measurement records.

• Accuracy and reliability of measurement results.
• On-time completion of measurement tasks.

• effectiveness to SQE and incoming inspection team
• Work Environment
• Office,
• warehouse, and production floor environment.
• May
• require extended hours during critical quality issues.
• Monday to Friday - 8:15am to 5:30pm
• Location: 9 Tuas Drive 1

Job Purpose The Quality Technician is responsible for performing dimensional measurements on components, and samples. This role supports daily QA's inspection and ensure accurate measurement results, proper documentation, and compliance with specifications.
