As a Nurse Supervisor, you coordinate care, mentor the team, and keep the milieu calm, safe, and moving forward-no matter what the shift brings - providing a calm, vigilant presence while others rest. How You Will Make a Difference Serve as on‐shift clinical leader: assign staff, prioritize admissions/discharges, and coordinate with intake and ED transfers. Support RNs/LPNs with assessments, med administration, restraint/seclusion per policy, and timely documentation. Lead real‐time de‐escalation and code responses; ensure post‐event debriefs and learning. Validate rounds, safety checks, and environment‐of‐care standards; escalate facilities/security needs. Precept new hires and students; champion competencies and policy adherence. Ensure continuity of care overnight with vigilant observation and timely documentation. Manage after‐hours admissions and urgent needs; prepare a thorough handoff to the day team.
