Legal Counsel (French & Ukrainian law)

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of experience as a qualified lawyer in France and Ukraine, with experience in start-ups and new technology companies, either in house or in private practice;
• Knowledge and experience in dealing with a range of commercial issues such as e-commerce, platform regulation and consumer protection;
• Knowledge and experience dealing with regulatory topics;
• Comfortable working in various jurisdictions;
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills;
• Business oriented, creative and solution driven mind-set;
• Experience creating and managing processes and moving large-scale project forward;
• Autonomy and sense of initiative;
• Ability to work fast and meet aggressive deadlines;
• Flexibility and eagerness to learn new areas of law;
• You have excellent communication skills, you're humble, and you enjoy sharing & learning from others;
• Full working proficiency in English, French and Ukrainian;

Your mission We are looking for a talented and business oriented tech company experienced in EU, French and Ukrainian law to join the Legal team at BlaBlaCar on a permanent contract starting as soon as possible. Their mission is to support the high speed growth of the marketplace and international expansion of the business. As a Legal Counsel, your role will be to provide support to our marketplace, bus and train business teams on multiple legal practice areas such as platform regulation, e-commerce, consumer protection and commercial contracts. You will be reporting to the Head of Legal and working with a team of approx. 10 people. This position requires the capacity of working in a fast growing tech company, of developing a high level of understanding of how our product works and of creating close connections with operational teams.
