Power Purchasing and Demand Management Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Power Purchasing and Demand Management Coordinator to help drive the success of our national electric vehicle (EV) charging network. You'll play a key part in ensuring we buy electricity smartly, keep our network running smoothly, and support projects that help protect our environment and communities. Responsibilities

• Support Energy Procurement:
• Work closely with energy providers to ensure fair and reliable power purchasing. Help manage contracts, track usage, and respond to billing questions.
• Demand Management:
• Develop and deliver strategies to manage electricity demand and support grid stability. Contribute to innovative projects, like integrating battery storage and renewable energy.
• Data and Reporting:
• Analyse and report on energy costs and performance, supporting transparency and continuous improvement.
• Work Across Teams:
• Collaborate with finance, engineering, and sustainability experts to meet our energy and environmental goals.
• Champion Compliance:
• Ensure we meet all regulations and uphold NRMA's standards for safety, ethics, and sustainability.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Energy Management, Electrical Engineering, or are working towards one- or have equivalent experience in energy, utilities, or EV infrastructure .
• Great communicator and collaborator.
• Comfortable with Excel and keen to learn new digital tools.
• Interested in energy, sustainability, and supporting positive change in your community.
