Senior Back End Product Engineer

Requirements

• Knowledge of power device reliability testing and failure analysis.
• Familiarity with JMP, Tableau, or similar software package.
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously and demonstrated success in complete process ownership within a 24x7 manufacturing environment.
• Excellent English language verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Statistical process control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent overall computer and analytical skills.

Who we're looking for: Wolfspeed is seeking a high potential, resourceful, hands-on, problem solving Product Engineer with the capacity to quickly grasp and resolve a wide range of technical challenges. The Day-to-Day: Work closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers to qualify and ramp new discrete power devices. Participate in development of new discrete products to meet market needs. Monitor, document, summarize and report on project status to key stakeholders, communicating deliverable progress and product specific risks. Initiate, manage, and participate in projects to improve quality and cost to exceed customer expectations. This Job is Right for You if You Have: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Materials Science. 5 years Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment troubleshooting equipment, material, or process impact on product quality and yield. In depth knowledge of power packaging, including die attach, wire bonding, molding, test, and burn-in. Strong organizational and planning abilities, independent thinking, attention to detail, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent MS Office skills. High energy, self-motivated attitude with strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively with coworkers of different backgrounds at every level of the company.
