About the role
The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Chief Operating Officer (COO) administers the Director of National Intelligence (DNI's) vision & direction to the ODNI enterprise providing elite support services including synchronizing policy, plans, procedures, & cross-functional issues that enable the ODNI mission. COO oversees most ODNI business operations, including executive support, human resources, security, facilities, continuity, governance, policies, & information management. This is an excepted service GS-14 position open to the public and all current federal employees at the GS-14 and one level below. Current federal employees at the GS-14 and one level below may apply to this position, and if selected will maintain pay set at their current grade and step. Current federal employees at grade levels GS-12 and below are not eligible for this position and their application will not be forwarded to the hiring manager. Extensive knowledge and experience in applying adult learning principles and methodologies to the design and/or selection of courses. Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment on time-sensitive issues, to perform multiple tasks and assignments, and to change focus quickly as demands change. Demonstrated ability to work productively in a fluid environment with changing requirements and priorities; ability to support group decisions and solicit opinions from coworkers. Demonstrated creative problem-solving skills and initiative in carrying out mission responsibilities based on senior-level guidance. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment, mentor junior colleagues, and demonstrate organizational and interpersonal problem solving skills. Knowledge of COTR concepts and principles.
