Position Objective: Provides expert data analytical support for nursing quality, nursing research initiatives, and system-wide quality improvement efforts across Luminis Health (LH). The individual in this position: Reports to the System Director of Professional Practice/ANCC Accreditation Able to fulfill the job responsibilities with minimal supervision Serves as the senior NDNQI administrator responsible for governance, data integrity, and dissemination of nursing quality metrics system-wide. Provides mentorship and oversight for onsite NDNQI support team members, ensuring high-quality data management and adherence to best practices. Distributes quarterly NDNQI results to internal and external stakeholders across LH, including unit and council leadership, ANCC consultants, and senior/executive leadership. Works closely with stakeholders to interpret results and recommend actionable quality improvements. Facilitates the understanding of complex data by answering questions, attending nursing unit, service line, and system-wide council meetings, and delivering presentations tailored to diverse audiences. Leads the retrieval, analysis, and dissemination of nursing-related data from various vendor sources (e.g., patient satisfaction, RN satisfaction, adverse events) across LH. Partners with nursing units to translate data insights into targeted improvement initiatives, resource allocation, and strategic planning. Coordinates and leads data collection and reporting efforts to measure the effectiveness of quality nursing practice across multiple units. Tracks performance indicators and identifies opportunities for improvement. Manages and disseminates monthly nursing unit-based quality dashboards and the nursing leadership dashboard. Delegates tasks to support team members while maintaining oversight to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Consults with nurses and analysts on data retrieval from clinical documentation system to facilitate LH nursing quality and research. Guides nursing staff in developing evidenced-based quality improvement projects by providing data input, analytics support, and mentorship. Monitors event reporting system for opportunities to implement evidence-based solutions and drive improvements in nursing practice. Serves as a liaison between Nursing Quality, Information Systems, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment in data reporting, quality improvement initiatives, and nursing research. Facilitates quality and evidence-based training, including through the Nurse Residency Program, serving as a subject matter expert. Chairs Nursing Organizational Quality Council, planning agendas, presenting data, and facilitating discussions set to system-wide quality priorities. Provides leadership in Nursing Research and Evidence-Based Practice Council and participates in service line quality councils to support data-driven action planning and project execution. Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent Masters-level degree in relevant field (required). Certification in specialty area required within 1 year of hire. Minimum of three (3) years of advanced clinical practice across diverse nursing disciplines and three (3) years in quality, clinical analytics, or healthcare research. Proven ability to guide clinical practice, professional development, research, and evidence-based practice. Experience with data analytics, data interpretation, and presentation (preferred). Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing with individuals and groups at various organizational levels and of various disciplines. Current licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland is required.
