- Your Experience and Qualifications
- University or college degree/diploma in a Customs and International Trade discipline
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in customs advisory, international trade compliance, or regulatory dispute resolution
- Demonstrated experience handling customs issue resolution and verifications
- Experience at a professional services firm, CBSA, or in-house global trade function is a strong asset
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Tariff classification and valuation principles
- FTA Rules of origin
- Canadian surtaxes and trade remedy measures
- Proven ability to draft technical memoranda and regulatory submissions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements with competing deadlines
